Analysis and retraining.   Whether working one-on-one or from afar with pictures and/or video images, I can analyze and retrain your posture and  stride so you look younger, feel stronger and happier, and are more efficient in your sports and every day activities.   A bonus!  Clients often experience release from pain and move with more comfort and ease.

Weight Training

Want to look lean and slim?  Add weights to your workout.  Learn principles of movement, range of motion, strengthening principles and increase endurance.

Relieve stress and develop peace of mind

       We have all heard that meditation is the answer to stress.  I personally never found it very easy to incorporate into my life and constantly fought with my "monkey mind" until I discovered Holosync©, a technological advance that makes meditation easy and desirable, not to mention all the fabulous health benefits and peace of mind.  Bill Harris has developed a method that draws one's mind into the same delta brain wave state of practiced meditators, all while listening to the soothing sound of rain and Tibetan bells.  An added bonus is the ability to record your affirmations subliminally into your meditation CD.  I have been listening for 4 years now and highly recommend this product.  The ability to handle whatever comes my way now with near calm, I attribute to Holosync.  Have your free demo CD sent to you by going to www.centerpointe.com

       Now that I have Holosync under my belt, I find outdoor meditation to be the next best thing and highly recommend you get out into the woods for some healing time with Nature.  This is a wonderful part of our retreats- connect with your natural ability to be calm and heal.

Learn to communicate well and be understood

       I have studied Marshall Rosenberg's "Non-Violent Communication"© model for years and am so impressed with his mediation skills, used in international hot spots.  I recommend his book, of the same name, which discusses a 4 step process of observation, feelings, needs and requests which can bring resolution and understanding to people in conflict. 

       It was an easy process when I used it with people I wasn't in conflict with and difficult to remember with those I was (!), but eventually, with practice, an invaluable resource.  Go to www.cnvc.org to learn more.  Let's work with your issues and develop a strategy to understand and be understood.

Look great and get out of pain

       In our Walking, Hiking or Running Biomechanics training, you can submit your pictures and/or video for posture and stride analysis so that you can look younger, stronger and be more efficient in your sports or everyday movements.  An added bonus is often pain release for more comfort and ease.  I will help you unwind your body's tension and, starting with walking, build up to hills, and then running, if you desire.

       Here's something you can practice right now.   Take a deep breath.  While you're seated at your computer, if you can, interlace your fingers and raise your arms over your head.  Feel the lift of your vertebrae and how your torso is lifted off your pelvis.  Here's the challenge: see if you can keep that feeling of lift in your torso while you slowly lower your arms to your side.  The trick is to allow your shoulders to float down while maintaining the lift in your spine.  You should be able to breathe more easily and will actually get a muscular work-out while maintaining this position.  (The old tendency is to again allow the shoulders to become heavy weights that crush the torso into compression and shallow breathing, etc.)  Get good at it and you will look like a million dollars.  I guarantee people will notice and you will feel better.  Take this feeling of lift into walking and you can start to see how knowledge of bio mechanics can create a more youthful and stronger body.

       If you live near or plan to visit the San Francisco Bay Area, I can analyze your hiking or running mechanics in person to make them more efficient and comfortable.  We have some beautiful sights in this area.  Have you ever wanted to see the Golden Gate Bridge from the hills, overlooking the Pacific Ocean?  Or walk through Muir Woods' famous redwood trees?

Fees   Packages of sessions are adaptable to your needs but a general formula is as follows:

  • Single sessions or
  • Packages of one, three or six months, meeting once a week or twice a month, as you desire. 
  • My fee is $100 per hour, or $50 per half hour
